Tokyo: Touring Around (2/3)

choosenThe more time passes, the more I forget. It’s been over half a year since I’ve been to Tokyo. My most vivid thought of the place is that I love Japan and I want to go back someday. At the time, I thought I’d still have the chance to go to Osaka or some other city during spring semester, but things turned out different.

Last Days


Soon I won’t be able to call Hong Kong my home anymore. Everything feels surreal. When I came back from my 3 week Philippines trip, it felt weird to be in Hong Kong, and now that I’m about to leave Hong Kong for Finland…everything feels like a dream. Like there’s a wall separating me from reality. I still can’t believe I’m actually here and been able to travel and experience so much. I am so lucky.

Chinese New Year

SAM_6399As a short introduction, Chinese New Year is the biggest celebration of the year. This year is the year of the goat and you could see the motif everywhere: from the sides of the buses to the golden jewelries sold along Nathan Road. It is a time when families give out red pockets to their single relatives and gain luck. What are red pockets? They are little red envelopes containing money. Sounds great, right? I have received one before when I was living in Bangkok but I hadn’t fully realized what was the gist of it.
